The Lehle D.Loop SGoS – recommended as the centerpiece of your pedal-board management system, a... more
Gold-plated Relays
the signal from the pickups of an electric guitar or bass is so weak that poor-quality cables, cold joints and cheap contact materials ruin your sound. Switch contacts need to be made of special materials to permit loss-free switching of these low-level signals. All Lehle switchers feature special relays and slide switches with gold-plated contacts for totally reliable, absolutely zero-loss switching.
Switching precise, swift and quiet
Swift and precise switching as between different instruments, effects loops or amps is essential in many live setups. To ensure this almost silently and wear-free, we have designed a finely tuned control system with a self developed spring located between the foot switch, our famous mushroom head, and the actual sensing device on the circuit board. A processor based on the ARM Cortex-M technology controls the switching operation very fast and precisely. While a conventional switch can handle a maximum of 20,000 switching operations, the interplay of the components used here enables a service life of 2 million switching operations. A hundred times more!
LEHLE Footswitch
The easy-action mushroom-shaped buttons characteristic of LEHLE products are mounted in the cover, so that your foot pressure is transmitted indirectly only, via a spring. Thus the electronics board is not exposed to mechanical loads, making your LEHLE virtually indestructible and guaranteeing years of trouble-free switching.
Adjustable Gain
Adjustment of volume or distortion using a gain controller is a vital feature in many situations. The gain controllers on the corresponding Lehle products feature black anodized aluminium knobs set back into the housing so that they can be easily fingertip rotated but keep their settings during performances and transportation.
MIDI interface
By means of the MIDI interface, control information can be exchanged. All LEHLE products with the MIDI symbol are able to be networked with external equipment, in order to control it and/or be controlled.
Stereo
Many effects units feature stereo outputs. Or: instruments frequently have two pickup systems, e.g. a combination of conventional magnetic and Piezo types, to emulate an acoustic sound. Lehle accessories are ideal for trouble-free routing of such dual-channel stereo signals. All stereo-capable Lehle products are, of course, also suitable for mono operation.
No Hum Loops
All Lehle products not featuring an LTHZ transformer and bearing this symbol switch the signal ground parallel to the signal itself via switches or relays with gold-plated contacts. Hum loops are thus effectively eliminated when switching backwards and forwards between different signal sources without, for example, simultaneous activation of two amps.

The Lehle D.Loop SGoS– recommended as the centerpiece of your pedal-board management system, a programmable double looper that takes inactive effects out of the signal path. The loops can be used independently of each other. An adjustable buffer is additionally available in every situation and - because not all effect pedals have a volume controller - can even be used to boost them when necessary. The high-end buffer boost has gain margins of up to 12dB and can also be used seperately!
The jack sockets and internal signal routing are entirely stereo, to permit full-quality use of studio, 19" and stereo effect-pedal units, too. This is assured by the True Bypass characteristics of the Lehle switchers and their gold-plated-contact relays. The signal ground is also switched, to eliminate hum in your effect loops, and a pop-and-click suppression circuit avoids annoying switching noise.
Programming is as easy and as intuitive as you would expect from Lehle products, whether via remote, using MIDI program change commands, as a stand-alone unit, or combined with other SGoS switchers. One very popular combination is to use the Lehle D.Loop SGoS with the Lehle Dual SGoS - they can mutually monitor and control each other, and manage effects and amps. And a simple stereo patch cable is all you need to hit just the right tone!

Q: How do I program and use the MIDI functionality of the LEHLE SGoS pedals?
A: There is a blog article about the general procedure:
https://blog.lehle.com/2017/09/27/how-to-program-a-lehle-pedal/

Q: What does SGoS stand for?
A: SGoS stands for Second Generation of Switching. The new series of Lehle switchers features a
TRS socket for connection with other Lehle SGoS switchers and external MIDI equipment for synchronization. SGoS switchers can receive MIDI program change commands and are very easy to program, they can also send MIDI program change commands and function as a MIDI controller.

Q: What is the effect of an impedance converter?
A: The sound will be freshened up and signal loss through long cable runs will be compensated.

Q: What is the benefit of a buffer/impedance converter before my effects chain?
I heard about the SD, but I am uncertain how this works and whether I need this for my pedal board.
A: A high impedance / HiZ signal can be weakened by an increasing number of fx-pedals, even true bypass effects. The difference can be felt by connecting your instrument with a short cable directly to your amplifier and focus on the details in sound and dynamics.

Q: How can I compensate the signal loss on my effects board?
A: By using an impedance converter, which provides a high impedance input socket for the instrument signal and a low impedance output signal that is more resistent against loss.

Lehle
My sound was suddenly warmer, clearer and a lot more dynamic, wow ! As if somebody pulled the blanket off my speaker cabinet. If the D.Loop SGoS was only a looper then Ikea is only a small furniture shop with a couple of chairs.

I've never come across gear of this type that offers as much functionality between each and every unit, and with the simplist MIDI programming I've ever encountered. These pedals improved my tone and breathed new life into a growing pedalboard setup.
